Angra’s participation was announced officially in Sao Paulo yesterday, on 4th of November during the presentation ceremony of the event’s partners. The band was confirmed to play at Sunset stage, a place of performances, meetings and jam-sessions of great international and Brazilian artists. According to the manager Monica Cavalera: “It’s a great pleasure to accomplish in such a brilliant way the negotiations in order to Angra and Sepultura perform at Rock In Rio 2011. They will play in the heavy metal night and, actually, they are the most representative bands of this genre in Brazil”.

Rock In Rio will take place at the end of September – beginning of October 2011 in “The City Of Rock” in the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. About 40 million Reals will be invested in this territory of 150 thousand square meters by the prefecture of the city, this sum is already present in the modernization budget of this place for the Olympic Games-2016.
